If you’ve ever looked closely at the tag on your performance T-shirt or summer “cooling” wear, you’ve probably noticed a number of certifications for keeping you dry, cool, or protected from the sun. Have you wondered who does the testing?
It turns out, an industry group located right here in North Carolina is responsible for creating testing standards used by hundreds of clothing companies worldwide. The standards allow you to compare clothes and gear from one brand to the next for fabric quality and sun protection.
