(From The 08/15/2020 Show) Now, let’s head to Mt. Airy, NC! Jesse Browns’ own Christopher Lawing joins the program to speak on this popular town which is just two hours north of Charlotte. The town started as a stagecoach stop in the 1750’s but is now known as ‘America’s Mayberry.’ Why? Well, because it was the real-life inspiration of the “Andy Griffith Show” and spinoff “Mayberry RFD” from the 1960’s and 1970’s. Christopher also shares with host, Bill Bartee, some of the people and points of interest in Mt. Airy.
