Are you familiar with the US Ski Patrol? Do you know how they began and what one of their initial calls of duty was?
Many would also be surprised to learn that America’s fascination with the sport of skiing as well as the proliferation of ski resorts and destination skiing can actually be attributed to a group called the ’10th Mountain Division’ which has its origin story in a collaboration between the National Ski Patrol and the US War Department during the Second World War.
