Matthew Wallin, Coastal Conservation Association of North Carolina Assistant Director, joins Bill & Wes for a Spring fishing report from Down East. The Shad are running up the rivers with Striped Bass hot on their heels. Speckled Trout are moving and the False Albacore and Bonito are making runs near Cape Lookout.
This leads into a discussion about how CCA NC works to improve our marine fisheries for abundant enjoyment through programs, advocacy work, and lobbying the State to update and improve regulations to protect pressured and overfished species while increasing public access to those resources.
