Fall on the Bush N Vine Farm with Sam Hall

Segment 3, November 11th, 2023

Fall and November help take us to the fresh air of the countryside. Take a breath, look at the blue sky, & somehow feel in touch with nature and the outdoors.

Farm life is a part of that outdoors experience.  Some listening may live on a farm while many more have had relatives that spent time in their lives on the farm.  The rest of us enjoy the harvest, the bounty from the farm.

The Carolina Outdoors heads down to the crossroad community of Filbert, SC, located between York & Clover, SC.  We bring on Sam Hall from the Bush N Vine Farm to talk about what’s happening on the farm.

On this segment you’ll learn:

-The Leaf Change on the peach trees
-We learn about the produce & spirit of fall on the farm
-What makes the fall strawberries taste so good
-although the cooler weather quiets some activity the CSA ends for 2023 but the Nature Trail is open
-Preparing for 2024 is a big part of the end of the year.
-How a Multi-generational farm family celebrates Thanksgiving

Among other things, Hall also speaks on the one-mile hiking trail through the Bush N Vine Farm.  Along the way you see the operating farm, nature, & get a little exercise too.
