Two Organizations Get Outdoors For The Greater Good!

With Don on assignment in Missouri, Bill is at the helm of the Carolina Outdoors podcast today. Joining in with him first, on this full show segment, is Alex Via, Founder and Board Member of the Charlotte Outdoor Alliance. The two discuss exactly what the Charlotte Outdoor Alliance is, and what it seeks to achieve, in and around the greater Charlotte region. Specifically, the organization seeks to “establish, brand, and grow Charlotte as the outdoor hub of the South.” Coming on to the show second, is Jack Costa, Charlotte Programming Lead for Project Healing Waters. Bill and Jack discuss the important work for veterans that Project Healing Waters is continually doing in the community. The organization is “dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and veterans through fly-fishing and associated activities.” And, on Saturday, September 28th, at Jesse Brown’s Outdoors, Project Healing Waters will be holding Healing Saturday where there will be demonstrations, fly-tying, education, and as always, a good time!
