(From 1/30/21 Air Date – Segment 3) Our guest, Beaty Jackson, resides in Damascus, VA, which is aptly nicknamed Trail Town, USA. This town of less than 1,000 people in southwest Virginia is home to several hikes, rivers & two internationally famous paths. The Appalachian Trail and the Virginia Creeper Trail both overlap in downtown Damascus. Jackson gives us insight into how visitors enjoy the outdoors while still remaining safe. He also says flip a coin on the annual May celebration, Trail Days, taking place. This is when thousands of hiking and outdoor vendors, hikers and celebrants descend on the town.
