Triple Trouble at the F3T with Ben Meadows from Dorsal Outdoors

Segment 3, March 2nd, 2024

Don’t you think it would be fun to get-together with your buddies & go on a Big fishing trip?  How about the thrill of doing all the legwork.  The planning, the logistics, lodging, food, & fishing?

That’s the way the crew at Dorsal Outdoors started.  What began from their headquarters in Alabama grew to travelling the world together on DIY trips.  This group of friends have also become some of the best storytellers in the outdoor/adventure film business.

Ben Meadows from Dorsal Outdoors returns to the Carolina Outdoors.  He’s had several movies chosen for several film festivals including the upcoming F3T 2024 edition.  His recent film, TRIPLE TROUBLE is a part of the Charlotte showing that is being held at the Visulite Theatre on Thursday, March 21st, 2024.  The doors open with Live Art (Brian Hester) & Live Music (Moonshine Fudd) & several conservation & fishing clubs joining us.

Show Highlights:

  • How Meadows was introduced to the sport of fly fishing?
  • Getting asked to leave the church parking lot by the police
  • The inspiration of DIY fishing trips to destination places
  • Filmmakers never know if viewers like their work unless someone tells them
  • His voice as a southern storyteller continuing the region’s roots
  • Human interest, meets art, meets fish, meets conservation are the roots of TRIPLE TROUBLE
  • Danielle Davidson shares her passion regarding the Triple Tail fish & brings together Mary Beth Meeks pursuit of a saltwater fish
