Renaissance Park is a part of the Mecklenburg Park & Rec system. Located in the southern part of Mecklenburg it hosts some of the more technical & demanding mountain bike trails. However, the more manicured & fast, short track, will be home to the 76 Summer Short Track Series presented by Carolina Volkswagon.
A favorite race series of ours happens every January and into early February. They’ve been featured in the mountain bike community and on the Carolina Outdoors. However here we are the Carolina Summer time & we’re about to talk about it again. This time in August. Let’s bring the founder and director of the Summer Shoot out Short Track series, Neal Boyd.
Boyd normally is informing us about the KASK Winter Short Track that has been held for over two decades. This time the weather is warmer & he’s talking Summer Shootout on the Carolina Outdoors.
The Series is August 5th, 12th, 19th, & 26th, 2023, & the biking community is excited about ending summer with a time around the Renaissance Short Track.
Boyd let’s us know that youth are able to enter for free & entry forms are available at Summer Short Track. Everyone is welcome to ride, cheer, or just enjoy the festivities of the event, which includes a food truck.
